The Disobedient Chicken

Based on an 1866 children’s’ book, The Disobedient Chicken explores a chick’s journey from mindless compliance towards conscious disobedience. Printed on cotton fabric using an archival inkjet printer. Hand quilted, embroidered, and appliqued, with additional bead embroidery. The first edition is in the collection of the Cleveland Public Library Special Collections.
