Our National Calamity

Our National Calamity of Hatred, Greed, and Delusion (Our National Calamity, for short) is an artists’ book in progress. The title is adapted from the 1913 book The True Story of Our National Calamity by Flood, Fire, and Tornado, documenting the devastation caused by the March 1913 floods, especially in Dayton and Columbus, Ohio. Found poems using text from the book accompany collages documenting the hatred, greed, and delusion that are flooding our country, threatening to destroy our democracy.
